Plants with the power to heal

Herbs has been used for healing since ancient time. The primitive people are believed to inhabited the Chinese Mainland as far back as 600,000 or even one million sears ago. In the process of finding foods they also found that some plants could be used for curing diseases. Chinese herbal medicine includes a large numbers of food plants, e.g., garlic, dried gingers, dates, beans, berries, barley, mint and sesame or just to name a few among many others. This is why TCM doctors often advised their patients what food to eat and what to avoid as part of the treatment.

Today, Chinese herbs are usually used in a mixture of different herbs rather than using single herb. There are hundreds of well established formulas treating various diseases. More than 80% of the World’s population still relies on herbs for treatment and prevention at present time.

The herbal medicine is safe with no side effects. Dr. Peter Yea, with a vast background in herbal medicine, often uses Chinese herbs together with acupuncture in designing treatment for his patients the combined effect yields better result and quickens recovery.
